A separate service from a drug test
A DOT medical examination assesses whether a driver meets medical qualification requirements. A DOT drug screen is a separate order, even when an employer requests both.

Contact Test First Premier Partners to arrange a DOT or Non-DOT physical appointment. Physical examinations require scheduling; our walk-in drug-testing hours do not guarantee an examiner is available. Confirm the examiner, appointment location, fee and required records when booking.

A DOT medical examination assesses whether a driver meets medical qualification requirements. A DOT drug screen is a separate order, even when an employer requests both.
A DOT physical must be performed by a medical examiner on the FMCSA National Registry. Ask for your scheduled examiner’s details so you can verify the listing before the appointment.
Have photo ID, a medication list, glasses or hearing aids you use, and any records the examiner requests. Provide complete and accurate health history on the examination form.
Explain whether you need an initial DOT medical examination, renewal or a Non-DOT employment physical. Ask about the next available appointment and total fee.
Check the appointment location and documents with the scheduling team. Ask the examiner whether condition-specific records are needed before your visit.
The examiner determines qualification and the certificate period. Keep the documentation provided and follow applicable employer and licensing instructions.
Physicals require an appointment. Saturday and Sunday clinic hours are 9:00 AM–1:00 PM for eligible walk-in testing; book and confirm the physical separately.
FMCSA allows a certificate for up to 24 months. The examiner may issue a shorter period when monitoring a medical condition is appropriate.
Do not assume it does. Tell the scheduling team if your employer also requires a DOT drug test so both services and charges can be confirmed.
Call for the current examination fee when scheduling. Drug testing and other employer-requested services may be billed separately.
Read the applicable agency or laboratory guidance for additional details.
