Test First helps employers coordinate DOT and Non-DOT post-accident drug and alcohol collections at our White Settlement center and across DFW. After-hours collections are offered by arrangement. Call 214-275-6300 immediately to request a collector and agree on the location and response time.

What Test First provides

Professional service with clear documentation

Prompt coordination

We gather the incident location, testing authority, required test types and employer contact so the collection plan can be confirmed quickly.

DOT and Non-DOT support

DOT testing depends on the applicable agency rule and accident circumstances. Company-policy testing follows the employer’s lawful Non-DOT program.

Mobile DFW response

When available, a collector may travel to a workplace, terminal, job site or other suitable location across the Metroplex.

Alcohol and drug collections

Tell us whether drug testing, alcohol testing or both are required and provide the employer’s designated representative.

Chain-of-custody documentation

Accurate records help preserve specimen integrity and document who ordered, collected, handled and received the test.

Supervisor training

Employers can also enroll supervisors in reasonable-suspicion training and refreshers for better incident response and documentation.

Common questions

Answers before you visit

Does every commercial-vehicle accident require a DOT test?

No. FMCSA post-accident testing depends on factors such as a fatality, a citation and whether the incident involved qualifying injury treatment or disabling damage. The employer must apply the applicable rule.

Should the employee call or should the employer call?

The employer or designated employer representative should call whenever possible because they must identify the test authority, testing reason and result recipient.

Is mobile post-accident testing always available?

No. Availability depends on location, collector scheduling, safe access and the required test. Call immediately to confirm the available option.

Can a company require Non-DOT post-accident testing?

A company may have a lawful workplace policy requiring Non-DOT testing. That program must remain separate from DOT testing.

What if testing is delayed?

The employer should follow its applicable rule or policy, document the reason for delays and record efforts made to complete testing.
